I am a 56 year old, graduate student with a Masters in
Engineering who is pursuing a Doctorate in Engineering at the
University of South Florida. I am also a Registered pharmacist,
with my BS in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy
and Science. Considering all of the self-taught
"experts" in this field, and comments like "I
learned all the engineering I needed from the Internet", I
am reluctant to call myself a pharmacist since individuals
outside the profession may think I have the same level of
education as some of the other "experts" who have no
formal training in Engineering.
I am a member of the Alpha Pi Mu Engineering honor society, belong to the Order of the Engineer and am also a senior member of the American Society for Quality and a member of the American Medical Informatics Association. You find out more about me from my personal pages. If you happen to be an administrator, with lots of money to spend, or just someone who is curious, you are invited to review my CV. If you are a "head hunter", aka a recruiter, make sure you read the first sentence on my CV. Don't bother calling unless you can meet the requirements of that section!
My professional interests involve the application of
engineering and Informatics to health care. Specific areas of
interest include the use of strategic data from data marts and
data warehouses, as well as the application of informatics to
patient safety and knowledge transfer.
